Helping Children Grow in Faith
At Crossroads Church, our Children’s Ministry seeks to create a loving and Spirit-filled environment where every child can grow in their faith.
Our heart is to see children develop a genuine relationship with Jesus, cultivate a hunger for the things of God, and form lasting friendships within a community that nurtures faith, humility, and joy.
We believe that children are an important part of our church family, and we want every child who joins us to feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged as they begin discovering who God is and how much He loves them.
As Scripture reminds us:
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” — Proverbs 22:6
Our desire is to help lay a strong spiritual foundation that will guide children throughout their lives.

During our children’s gatherings, we focus on helping kids learn about God in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and appropriate for their age.

We want children to experience church as a place where they can learn about God, ask questions, and enjoy being part of a loving faith community.
Age Groups
Our Children’s Ministry is designed to support children at different stages of development so they can learn and grow in ways that suit their age and understanding.

Nursery & Parental room 0-2
Safe & equipped space for the kids to learn and play
Toddlers 3-5
For our youngest children, we provide a nurturing environment where they are lovingly cared for while parents attend the service. Through play, songs, and simple stories, we begin introducing them to God’s love.
6-7 years
Our preschool group helps children begin discovering the big truths of the Bible through storytelling, music, crafts, and fun activities designed for their stage of development.
8-9 years
Children 8&9 during the sermon time for their own class where we explore the Bible through discussion, activities, and creative teaching. These sessions help them begin understanding how faith connects to their everyday lives.
A Safe and Loving Environment
We care deeply about the wellbeing of every child entrusted to our ministry. Our team of volunteers led by our Children’s Ministry leader Janaina Araujo is committed to creating a space where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged.
In this environment, children can grow not only in their understanding of God’s Word but also in friendship with one another.
As Jesus said:
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” — Matthew 19:14
Partnering With Parents
We believe parents play the most important role in a child’s spiritual journey. Our Children’s Ministry exists to support families by reinforcing biblical values and encouraging children to grow in faith both at church and at home.
Together, we seek to nurture children who love God, care for others, and grow in character and faith.
